The program for the TruckSafe Forum has been released today. The first annual TruckSafe members’ forum will be held at TMC on Monday 16 November. TruckSafe is the industry’s leading business and risk management system. TruckSafe members will share information, find out about the latest improvements in risk management and speak with auditors about what they will be focussing on. (more…)

Aussie V8 champion, Steve Richards will open the 2009 Technical & Maintenance Conference in a discussion all about teamwork.

The session will explore the relationship a driver has with his workshop team and suppliers in the development of his car and on the fly, on race day. (more…)

One of the hands-on sessions at TMC 2009 will feature suspension and shock absorber specialists explaining the common maintenance techniques and wear issues.  The session will focus on airbag suspension maintenance and air valves.

A multi streamed program will allow delegates to choose from a range of sessions to suit your own interests or specialisation. Some of the sessions are run more than once to allow delegates a second bite if there is more than one topic of interest running at the same time.

The first afternoon offers interesting insights into alternative fuels. Alternative fuels are already in use by fleets around Australia. This session features a number of fleet operators talking about their experience with the use and maintenance of LNG, CNG, biofuels and hybrid engines.

Tony Rawson, winner of the 2008 Craig Roseneder Award, wrote to us reflecting some of the reasons it is well worth the effort to nominate for this great industry award, which is presented at the TMC.

 ”Being part of the ATA TMC for many years and knowing the calibre of the members who are in the industry I am in awe that I have been part of this. I have always looked at the winners of the Craig Roseneder Award and thought how they must feel and how good it would be to be firstly nominated and then actually winning the award.
