The National Convention Centre Canberra will host the 2011 Australian Trucking Convention from Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 May.
The event will open with the Hino Australia Golf Day followed by the ATA Foundation Sponsors Welcome Party to be held in the exhibition hall.
The conference program kicks off at 9.00am on Thursday with the results of important ATA research about truck safety. The first day also includes addresses from the government and opposition; discussion about black boxes and mobile communication innovations; and important safety presentations about loading and unloading zones and issues in the supply chain. Chris Richardson returns with a down to earth interpretation of the economic environment and advice to put straight into action in your business.
Meanwhile, partners will be enjoying exclusive back-of-house tours of Australian iconic monuments on the first day of their fully hosted program.
The day is capped off by the Volvo Indoor Outback Party and Auction Dinner. The night will feature great entertainment, door prizes and the opportunity to bid for a Volvo Prime Mover, a trailer, fridge and much more.

Friday night features the 2010 ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Dinner at Parliament House. The winners of the Driver of the Year and Transport Industry Woman of the Year are just two of the announcements to be made on the evening. Tom Burlinson will cap the night off with his fabulous “King of Swing” show.
The exhibition, including the undercover truck display, will remain open all day on Saturday for the new Community and Industry Open Day. Entry to the exhibition is free.
