Exhibitor Story: Clean Oil- Key to Engine Life and Cost Saving

Today’s low-emission regulations have contributed to the development of engines that don’t pollute the atmosphere, but do cause excess oil related engine wear.

Laurie Hyland of Engine Care Systems said, “Engines and oil quality have never been so good.  Unfortunately, oil has never been subjected to so much dirt, soot and heat as in today’s modern engine. This is because most emissions caused by the combustion process are not released, but are channelled into the oil.

With typical full-flow filters trapping contaminants of 20-25 microns, smaller particles down to ten microns or less still comprise 98 percent of residual abrasives. It is SAE proven that very fine particles create most of the premature wear associated with an engine’s component parts”.

Laurie says a SpinnerII oil cleaning centrifuge complements a standard full-flow filter by providing the most efficient economic filtration solution possible.

”Centrifuges are able to remove most of the smaller abrasive sub-micron soot particles from an engine’s oil, providing a significantly higher level of protection against engine wear. The benefit is extended oil and filter service intervals, reduced critical component wear, less oil consumption and lower maintenance and downtime costs.

With today’s engines - many with expensive computer controlled fuel injection systems, exhaust gas reticulation, variable timing and turbo chargers, coupled with zero exhaust emissions, has made quality oil sampling programs a necessity to understand what is going on inside your engine.

Centrifuging your oil super clean and guided by quality oil sampling, service intervals can be extended while maintaining a cleaner, long life engine”. Laurie said.

The company says the SpinnerII centrifugal oil cleaner is endorsed by over 52 engine manufacturers worldwide.
