The Australian Trucking Association is developing a national touring exhibition to address critical skills shortages in road transport businesses and to make a major contribution to improving safety on the nation’s highways.

The road transport industry faces skills shortages. We cannot allow workforce challenges to compromise the effectiveness of Australia’s trucking industry.

Road safety is our priority. The industry acknowledges its responsibility to improve its safety record and the role it can play in helping to improve the driving behaviours of those who share the road with trucks.

A travelling exhibition within a state of the art semi trailer is being constructed for its launch at the 2008 Australian Trucking Convention. The exhibition will travel throughout the nation to communicate key messages on safety, including “sharing the road”, professionalism and career opportunities.
