Give your nomination the best chance of success

It's all about the written word. The judges form their opinions from the documentation presented. If it's not written, it may not be known to all the judges, many of whom are from organisations outside the immediate orbit of the Australian Trucking Association to attain impartiality. A great candidate will be disadvantaged by a superficial nomination.

Only make claims that can be substantiated. For example, there is a big difference between being a member of a group and a "driving force".

Include quality testimonials from other people and organisations to substantiate your claims.

Set out your nomination according to the criteria. This is how the judges compare and contrast the many nominations they receive.

Too much content can be as bad as too little. Aim for 2 to 4 pages in length plus supporting materials, including third party testimonials.

The 2005 national trucking awards were presented in Newcastle, NSW.
