Craig Roseneder Award

for Technical and Maintenance Excellence in the Workshop

 

Recognising the professionalism of the men and women who work behind the scenes in the trucking industry’s workshops.

The award is presented at the annual Technical & Maintenance Conference in November and showcases excellence in the workshop by an individual.

Craig Roseneder was devoted to the development of a safer road transport industry. He worked tirelessly in the development of the industry's accreditation standards - standards which addressed the need for improved safety, maximum productivity and world best practice of road freight efficiency.

He fulfilled his dream to create a world recognised, computer based fatigue management training package. Craig died in 1999 at the age of 39.

Criteria

Candidates should work for a trucking company, supplier or commercial workshop as a workshop manager, mechanic or provide support within the maintenance field for heavy vehicles.

They must have a minimum of three years experience in their field and a demonstrated high level of skill and aptitude.

They should also be able to demonstrate commitment and dedication to their job and to the Australian trucking industry.

Nominees will have made a contribution to some or all of the following categories:

  • industry promotion;
  • service to the industry;
  • coaching and mentoring;
  • innovative projects/ Initiatives;
  • community service;
  • environmental initiatives;
  • commitment to training;
  • TruckSafe involvement;
  • NHVAS involvement;
  • client responsiveness; and
  • supplier assistance.
