Get into Transport and Logistics (Road Transport) Program

The Get into Transport and Logistics (Road Transport) is a public/private alliance between the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Trucking Association and Strategix Training Group.
The program gives job seekers up to 150 hours of accredited training, work experience and six months’ job placement support.
The pilot project trained 126 jobseekers across Queensland, with 70 per cent of those completing the course gaining a job in the industry within six months.
The 2010 program is currently underway, with 100 jobseekers completing the course. A plan to expand the program to Indigenous communities is currently being developed.
