Jim Pearson – Jim Pearson Transport

Jim’s association with the transport industry began almost 60 years ago when he purchased the Caltex Service Station at Marks Point south of Newcastle.
In 1955 Jim commenced Lake Macquarie Freights and Macquarie Transport, before moving to Port Macquarie in 1974 and establishing Jim Pearson Transport.
Jim has always shown a commitment to safety, being one of the first to introduce satellite tracking across his fleet to manage fatigue and was also involved in the early development of TruckSafe.
Jim is a life member of the Long Distance Road Transport Association, NatRoad and is a member of the Transport Hall of Fame.
