Derek has been involved in the trucking industry for 40 years, both as the owner driver at Nathan’s Removals and as an industry representative.
Despite the long distances involved, Derek has donated much of his personal time to improving the industry. He has been involved with Transport Forum WA for 26 years, including as Chairman for the last eight years.
He is a founding member of the Australian Furniture Removers’ Association and was granted life membership in 2003. Derek is also a member of the ATA’s board of management and is its skills and workforce committee chairman.
