National Trucking Industry Awards
2010 FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
The finalists for the 2010 National Trucking Industry Awards have been announced by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA) today, following a high standard of entries across all award categories.
The Chairman of the ATA, Trevor Martyn, said the awards are a crucial part of the industry’s calendar because they identify and reward the people who have contributed to taking the Australian trucking industry to a higher level of professionalism.
“The National Trucking Industry Awards are an important part of the trucking industry’s effort to promote the commitment and achievement of individuals and organisations within the industry,” Mr Martyn said.
“The quality of this year’s finalists is impressive and include some of the most dedicated and committed figures in the industry, all of who deserve to be recognised,” he said.

Also presented on the night will be the Don Watson Memorial Award.
“Given the calibre of the finalists, and indeed of all the entries, the judges have obviously had a difficult task. The industry is eagerly anticipating the announcement of the winners among these deserving finalists,” Mr Martyn said.
The award winners will be announced on Saturday, 10 April at the Gala Awards Dinner at the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort as part of the Australian Trucking Convention, which is being held on the Gold Coast from 7-10 April.
NATIONAL TRUCKING INDUSTRY AWARDS
The National Trucking Industry Awards are presented annually by the Australian Trucking Association in recognition of excellence attained by individuals and organisations within the industry.
The purpose of the national awards program is to showcase high achievement and to promote exemplars to industry and to the community at large as a means to instill positive perceptions about trucking.
The awards program includes the:
- Outstanding Contribution to the Australian Trucking Industry
- National Professional Driver of the Year
- National Trucking Industry Woman of the Year
- Training Excellence Award
- Don Watson Memorial Award and
- Craig Roseneder Award for Technical & Maintenance Excellence
The Awards are presented each year at a glittering dinner during the Australian Trucking Convention.
The exception is the Craig Roseneder Award, which is presented during the annual Technical & Maintenance Conference in November.
There are fantastic prizes to be won, including international travel packages.
Nominations close each year on the 1st of March for the Outstanding Contribution, National Professional Driver, National Trucking Industry Woman and Training Excellence Awards.
