Q Where are the Convention sessions being held?

All Convention sessions will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. 2684 Gold Coast Highway QLD 4218

Q Where is the Auction being held?

The Volvo Auction Lunch will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday 8 April.

Q Where is the awards presentation being held?

The ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala Dinner will be held at the Marriott Surfers Paradise Resort, Gold Coast Highway, Surfers Paradise on Saturday 10 April 2010.

Q. So there is a free night then?

There is a free night on Friday 9 April. Sponsors will usually hold invitation only events off-site. Other entertainment options may be offered later. But Thursday night 8 April will be the Indoor Beach Party Dinner at the Convention centre. Not to be missed.

Q How much does the Convention cost me?

Introduce a friend to the 2010 Convention and receive a $100 discount
($50 discount off yours and your friend’s registration). Conditions of
Introduce A Friend deal: Friend must not have attended a convention in
the last 2 years. Friend’s registration must accompany your registration.

GROUP DISCOUNTS
SAVE $50 PER REGISTRATION
Register 3 delegates or more from the same organisation and receive
$50 off each registration fee. Conditions of Group Discounts: Registration
forms and payment for the group MUST be received by the ATA at the
same time.

Q What is the dress code for the Conference?

What to wear:

• During the conference days, smart casual wear is preferred.
• For the awards dinner, lounge suit is preferred.

Q What is climate on the Gold Coast in April?

The average daily temperature on the Gold Coast for April is 25 °C. Overnight expect 17 °C.

Q Can I bring additional guests to the social events?

Yes, additional tickets can be purchased. Please contact the ATA on (02) 6253 6900 or alternatively, tickets can be purchased at the event. These tickets are strictly limited and will be assigned in order of application.

Q Are hotel transfers available?

Complimentary coach transfers will run between the Convention partner hotels for Golf day, the Beach Party Dinner, the Awards Gala Dinner and for the Partners Program. Aries Tours are offering car, limousine and coach pick-up from Brisbane or Coolangatta Airports. Contact ATA Event for more details. ataevents@atatruck.net.au

Q I need to cancel. Is there a cancellation policy?

Any alterations and cancellations to the convention must be notified in writing to the Australian Trucking Association. All convention registration cancellations will incur a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be given to delegates cancelling after 4 February 2009, but a substitute delegate will be accepted.
