Intelligent Access Program

The Intelligent Access Program (IAP) is a voluntary program which provides heavy vehicles with improved access to Australia’s road network in return for monitoring of compliance with specific access conditions by vehicle telematics solutions.

Participating heavy vehicles are monitored using telematics services with an in-vehicle unit (IVU) supplied and operated by an IAP Service Provider, certified by Transport Certification Australia Limited (TCA).

The IAP provides transport operators with the potential to:
• improve productivity
• improve turnaround times
• increase profits
• gain an advantage over a competitor
• deliver a better service and price to customers
